Express trip to the Lake Son-Kul

Day 1: Morning/Noon transfer from Bishkek/Kochkor to Son-Kul Lake. On the way visit Burana tower (only from Bishkek), lunch at a café and arrival in Son-Kul in the afternoon. Upon arrival you can help your host family with their everyday life: looking after the horses and sheep, making bread and milk products, bringing water from a source nearby. Dinner and overnight stay in the yurt camp.

Day 2: Spend the day enjoying a refreshing and well-earned rest at the lake-side. Watch and/or participate in the everyday life of the shepherds: milking mares; making traditional Kyrgyz milk products like Kymyz (fermented mare’s milk) or Airan (a sour, dense milk product); tending cattle. Eat a delicious lunch here, stroll along the lakeshore, and hope the legendary Son-Kul weather is kind. After lunch transfer back to Kochkor/Bishkek. (Optional horse riding).
