From Bishkek to Dushanbe through Pamir Plato and Wakhan Corridor

Kyrgyzstan and Tadjikistan are mountain country and the weather changes very quickly in the mountains. The most part of the roads in valleys and mountains of dust and shakes. The economy based on cash system and any money cards “Visa”, “MasterCard” etc does not access except only in Bishkek. A cuisine is very diverse; the basic ration writes meats and vegetables. But the very little selection of vegetarian dishes for vegetarians.
Day 1: Start travel from Bishkek following the highway road Bishkek -Osh to Chychkan gorge. Lunch on the way at cafes and enjoy the beauty of Mountain roads with different view landscapes nature. Arrival in Chychkan gorge and have accommodation in the mountain hut with comfortable conditions, wandering around optional to do nice walking in the gorge and overnight in the guesthouse with dinner.
Day 2: Today travel for Osh, arrival in the city by noon. City tour with local guide, visit markets. Accommodation in CBT guesthouse with dinner.
Day 3: After breakfast transfer for Chyirchyk gorge, day trekking in the gorge. Lunch in local shepherd’s yurt camp. Late afternoon transfer by car to the village Aiu-Tapan. Overnight in CBT homestay with dinner
Day 4: After breakfast, the transfer for Sary-Mogol village to the yurt camp Tulpar-Kol. Arrival in the place for lunch, after lunch horseback riding on the slope of the peak Lenin. Evening overnight in the yurt with dinner.
Day 5: Free day. Participate in everyday life of nomads. Optional to do day trekking on the slope of Lenin peak (7 315m). Overnight in the yurt camp with meals.
Day 6: Today travel for Tadjikistan via border cross Kyzyl-Art. Crossing the checkpoint and take a road to GBAO Pamir highway road. On the way stop in Karakul village to have a lunch in home stays. After transfer for Murgab. Accommodation in the homestay with dinner.
Day 8: Continue traveling to Alichur village, on the way it is possible to visit Shahty rocks, with their peculiar painting dating back to 8000-5000 B.C. Then you will stop in the Akbalik geyser and the Lake Yashilkul. Arrival in Bulunkul Lake, lunch in a local home stay and transfer for Alichur village for overnight with dinner.
Day 9: In the morning, drive through the Wakhan Corridor from Alichur to Langar over the pass Kargush (4 344m). After the pass, travel follows the river Pamir, with the chance to admire the Big Pamir of Afganistan with nomadic Afghan Kyrgyz caravans. Overnight and dinner in the home stay in Langar village. In Langar optional walking up to the petroglyphs outside of the village.
Day 10: After breakfast drive to Yamchun. We will admire the Kakha Fortress, dating from the third century BC and rising from a platform of natural rock. Just 300m further on is the interesting Ismailimazar (tomb) of Shah-i-Mardan Hazari Ali and the then the Zoroastrian “Fortress of Fire Worshippers”. Further up the hillside are located the hot springs at Bibi Fatima, with its crystal waters very rich in minerals. Overnight in homestay at Ishkashim, with the opportunity to visit various interesting locations in the surroundings of the village of Vrang, on a cliff-side pitted with caves, where is located a Buddhist complex dating from 4th-7th centuries. At Yamg, it is possible to admire the reconstructed house of Sufi mystic Muabara Kadam, who died in 1910. Near his house, there is a stone pillar which was used to calculate a solar calendar. Overnight in home stay at Ishkashim
Day 11: Continue traveling to Khorog. On the way visit the hot springs at Garm-e-Chasma. Later we reach the entry of the Wakhan River valley: It is here that the 19th century Great Game ended between the Russia and British empires. From here the road continues up along the north side of the river, with amazing views of the Pamir on the left and the Hindu Kush on the right. Stop along the way for a picnic lunch and the chance to visit the interesting Regional Museum and explore the Pamir Botanical Garden, which with its more than two hundred hectares is the word’s second highest botanical garden in altitude reaching 3 900m. Overnight in a traditional Pamir house.
Day 12: Today travel from Khorog to Darvoz on the way to Dushanbe. Arrival in the evening in Darvoz and overnight in the homestay with meals.
Day 13: After breakfast driving to Dushanbe along the Pang river with amazing views and traveling through numerous local villages. Lunch in a Chaikana (local cafes). In the evening, arrival in Dushanbe. Accommodation in your hotel.
