Itinerary: Bishkek – Burana Tower — Kochkor Village– Son-Kol Lake — Tamchy village  — Cholpon-Ata town — Karakol Town –Bokonbaevo Yurt Camp -Bishkek

Day 1: Morning transfer to transfer to Chong-Kemin Valley, 3 hours from Bishkek. On the way, visit the Burana Tower architectural complex (10-11th century, an important point on the Great Silk Road), 15km from the main road, 1 hour. Arrival in Chong-Kemin, dinner and B&B in a home stay.  

Day 2: Transfer to Kochkor (150 km, 3 hours driving). Day in Kochkor.  Morning — See felt show. Lunch at home stay. Visit local handicraft shops and workshops. See how to make a national felt items — shyrdak and ala-kiiz and kurak. Dinner and overnight stay at CBT guest house.

Day 3: Transfer to Song-Kol via Kalmak-Ashuu Pass( 3 400 m above sea level). Upon arrival meet your host family of Kyrgyz shepherds. Meals and overnight are in a yurt. 

Day 4: Transfer to Tamchy village. 3 hours driving, 200 km. Upon arrival meet your host family. Lunch in a guesthouse. Afternoon take a part in a workshop – “Wool and Silk Scarf”. Making your own mini-scarf.  Dinner and B&B at home stay.

Day 5: Morning transfer to Karakol town, 3 hours, 200 km. In Cholpon-Ata visit an open-air petroglyph (rock painting) gallery (5km from Cholpon-Ata, heading to the mountains).  Afternoon arrival in Karakol followed by a city tour: visit the Dungan Mosque and the Russian Orthodox Church.16.00 —  Visit work studio of felt makers «Kork». Dinner with Dungan Family.  B&B at a CBT home-stay. 

Day 6: After breakfast transfer to Bokonbaevo village. (3 hours, 200 km) On the way visit Jeti-Oguz valley, Kok-Jaiyk area, red canyon “Skazka”(Fairy Tale).  Picnic lunch on the way. Dinner and B&B in a yurt. In the evening dinner accompanied with local folklore group. Make acquaintance with Kyrgyz national music instruments and folklore songs.  B&B at CBT yurt stay at the lake. 

Day 7: After breakfast transfer to Bishkek, 4 hours drive, 300 km.  On the way visit Kyzyl-Tuu village, the village of yurt makers. 10-11 a.m. — Visit a Kyrgyz family where all family members make a BozUy (Yurt) – a traditional Kyrgyz dwelling tent. Experience yurt making process and lunch and tea time in the yurt.  Further transfer to Bishkek. City tour in Bishkek with visiting Historical Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Central Square Ala-Too, Oak Park, art gallery, and Osh Bazaar.  End of the tour.
